What is the Resources quota?
Each Duke Sakai site's Resources have an unlimited upload quota. That is, the limit to the amount of Resource storage space (in megabytes MB or gigabytes GB) allowed by the institution. Users can see how much storage space is currently being used in Resources and view the allowed quota. Duke does not have a limit on site resources, however we have recommendations on upper file sizes:
The file upload size limit is 1 Gigabyte at a time (1000 MB) per file in Forums, Assignments, or other tools that utilize the Resources tool to upload and share files. However, it is generally not recommended going up to that size limit -there may be better options for hosting large files (over 200 MB).
If you are uploading large media files like video and audio, we recommend using Duke Warpwire.
You may also choose to host other large files in Duke Box.
Here's how to find your current overall usage for your Sakai site:
Go to Resources.
Select the Resources tool from the Tool Menu of your site.
Click Check Quota.
This displays the Resources Quota page.
Quota is displayed.
The amount of storage space currently being used and the site's quota will be displayed.
