How do I schedule a site for deletion?

Scheduling a site for deletion will remove access to all participants except instructors/owners listed in the site. Sites remain for 1 year in the scheduled deletion queue to allow instructors/owners to restore the site and its contents if needed. After 1 year, the site and its contents will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

Schedule site(s) for deletion

You must be an Instructor (Course sites) or Owner (Project sites) in order to delete a site.

  1. Select the Home site in the favorites bar at the top of any Sakai page
  2. Select the Worksite Setup tool in toolbar
  3. Select the checkbox next to each site you would like to delete
  4. Select the Delete selected button
  5. Review warning message and confirm schedule for deletion
  6. The selected site(s) will be removed from your course list

Recover previously scheduled site(s) for deletion

Site(s) must have been scheduled for deletion less than one year earlier. If scheduled for deletion over 1 year earlier, the site and its contents have already been permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

  1. Select the Home site in the favorites bar at the top of any Sakai page
  2. Select the Worksite Setup tool in toolbar
  3. In the View pulldown menu, select Sites scheduled for deletion
  4. Select the Apply View and Term button
  5. A list of previously deleted sites will be displayed. Select the checkbox next to each site you would like to recover.
  6. Select the Restore selected button
  7. The site will be restored back to your course list
